RandDTax are proud to be sponsors of The Enterprise Awards 2017 which take place on Wednesday 14 June 2017. The awards recognise the best of UK's technology entrepreneurial talent with a focus on the founder of the company rather than the businesses themselves. They are "The Oscars of the Technology Industry" run in association with the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists (WCIT). This is the seventh year and the awards are now well established with some very notable past winners.
There are eleven award categories such as Young Entrepreneur; Scaling Up Award - fastest growing companies; Female Entrepreneur - for outstanding female entrepreneurs. Each category is judged against five criteria.

In 2016 Ed Macnair, in the category of ‘Entrepreneurs over the age of 50 when they founded their businesses’. Ed is a serial entrepreneur, founder of Censornet - providing ‘Integrated Web Security, Email Security, CASB and Multi-Factor Authentication’.
Also in 2016, Steve King & Hugo Amos of Black Swan in the category ‘Enterprise £5m+ revenue’ Black Swan products transform the way brands create value from data, finding insights and solutions that create an advantage for their business. They analyse consumer behaviour using public and private data, then build cutting edge technology based on predictive models to create better outcomes - they call this “Applied Prediction”.
In 2015 one of the major accolades, Emerging Entrepreneur, was awarded to Terry Walby, chief executive of Thoughtonomy. At the time Thoughtonomy was an emerging technology company with an innovative approach to automation in service operations.
Also in 2015 Alicia Navarro, co-founder and CEO of Skimlinks, won the Female Entrepreneur Award. Skimlinks creates native monetisation solutions for publishers, rewarding them for any e-commerce they drive by automatically turning product links and references into trackable affiliate links. Navarro also walked away with the Audience Award, voted for on the night through interactive iPads provided by Duuzra, winning an iWatch provided by sponsors Sage.
